Kate Wason, M.ED, SPT, CSCS is an exercise physiologist, a strength and conditioning specialist, and a doctor of physical therapy student. Kate learned the science and practice of endurance sports coaching through an internship and employment with Carmichael Training Systems, one of the world’s leading endurance sports coaching companies. Following this training, she obtained her master’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of Virginia in 2015, and is currently ten months away from graduation with her doctorate in Physical Therapy from Duke University. Kate is a runner herself, having competed in Division III Track and Field during college and subsequently completing six half marathons, with a personal best time of 1:33. She loves working with endurance athletes and believes that the right training program can not only enhance running performance, but also reduce the risk of injuries.
