Hey everyone I’m Aimee! I’m a physical therapist, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA, and have completed the CrossFit Level 1 Certificate Course. I have been an athlete my entire life, playing several sports such as basketball, softball, golf, rowing, running, soccer, obstacle course racing, and CrossFit. I am very passionate when it comes to sports, strength and conditioning, health/wellness, and learning. For all of these reasons, I definitely define myself as being a ‘Fit Nerd’. I hope this blog inspires you to embrace your inner Fit Nerd by exercising your mind and body everyday! 🙂

Hey Everyone! I’m Kate, currently a third year DPT student at Duke University. I got my B.S in Biology at the College of William and Mary, and I also have a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from University of Virginia. And for a few years in between, I interned and worked in endurance sports coaching with Carmichael Training Systems in Colorado Springs, CO. Endurance sports – running and cycling – are my first love, and like many others, I was introduced to physical therapy through a series of bad injuries while training for a marathon. My experiences as an athlete, a coach, and an exercise physiologist color my approach to exercise, performance, injury prevention, and life, and I hope to share some of my passion and knowledge with you!  Never stop moving, never stop learning.
